These dangles were created (cruelty free) with 17 year cicada wings that were collected in IN during the 2021 cicada emergence!
These types of cicadas are known as magicicadas and are unlike the annual cicadas you may be familiar with seeing every summer! There are different broods that emerge in different areas and different years across the midwest regions. These wings came from the brood known as Brood X. Their lifecycle occurs outside of the ground every 17 years.
